Adoption Day at Ace Hardware, Navarre January 4, 2014
The yard rake/vac that Ace Hardware donated to us in December was donated back by the December drawing winner. A huge thank you goes out to him. We put it back up for raffle at this month's adoption day. We would like to thank everyone who donated to the rescue and to congratulate the winner of the rake/vac. Three dogs were adopted and we have an adoption pending on Chestnut, our youngest ferret. The day was a resounding success.

Our event at Ace Hardware started with Ace donating a yard blower/vac to raffle off with all proceeds going to the rescue. We had close to a dozen volunteers helping with the ferrets and handling the dogs. I missed not having Maggie, our rescue dog, with us, but I can't have her worring about protecting all the ferrets from any dog that happens to walk by. Brutus had been depressed during the week as I had been sick and trying not to pass it on. He really enjoyed all the attention and spent most of the time being held.

Adoption Day at Pet Supermarket, Pensacola December 7, 2013
We teamed up with the dog half of the rescue and filled Pet Supermarket. We met lots of new people and put some faces to internet handles. We appreciate the support from the community and from Pet Supermarket, who had collected donations for the dogs. Although we didn't find homes for any of the ferrets, several of the dogs found their forever homes.

Adoption Day at Pet Supermarket, FWB October 19, 2013
We had a blast at Pet Supermarket this past Saturday. There were lots of dogs in costumes, and lots of people visiting our ferrets. As you can see in the picture below, Smokey was loving it up and giving out kisses to the girls. Maggie, our rescue dog looking for a forever home, was a bit confused and alarmed at all the strange looking dogs. She didn't understand that they were in costume.
