Donations and Sponsorships

We have many ferrets that stay with us for extended periods of
time as we look to find them a fitting forever home. We also have several permanent residents that are too old to adopt out and/or have medical needs that keep them from getting adopted. Adoption fees do not cover the feeding costs or medical needs of these ferrets. This is where you come in. Our ability to keep our doors open is dependent upon private donations and sponsorships. We accept tangible goods like cages that we can sell and monetary donations. Checks are great, but we also have an account with Paypal to make things easier. Any amount is appreciated. For those wishing to make a single large monetary donation or be a regular supporter, we have a sponsorship program that you may be interested in. You can sponsor the rescue as a whole or sponsor on behalf of a particular ferret. Since we are a group of volunteers and utilize foster homes instead of a dedicated facility, 100% of donations go to support the ferrets. Donations are tax deductable and receipts can be provided upon request. |

PetSmart
PetSmart is a big supporter of NFDR. We often visit the Pace store for adoptions and to buy supplies. Gift cards to PetSmart will be a big help on our next trip. Purchase at the Pace store and ask management to hold it for Navarre Ferret and Dog Rescue or contact us for a mailing address.

We highly recommend their raw grinds with muscle meat, organs, and bones. We feed this to as many of the ferrets as we can convert. As many of you know, this method is one of the most natural feeding methods and help reduce the risk of insolinoma. Our favorite source for salmon oil is Hare Today. Sponsorship Program
Navarre Ferret Rescue is dedicated to helping care for homeless ferrets and occasionally other pets through a network of foster homes until a forever home can be found. However, many of the ferrets that are surrendered to us are “special needs” ferrets. They may be older, have behavioral problems, or are in need of life-long specialized medical care. Some special needs ferrets can
eventually be placed for adoption, but many cannot. Navarre Ferret Rescue becomes their forever home.
We provide a loving family environment for these ferrets. The nature of their needs does often require ongoing expenses for the rescue. Navarre Ferret Rescue is a no-kill shelter. In order to continue to provide for permanent residents, we have developed a Sponsorship Program that allows generous donors to sponsor a specific ferret(s) in our care and therefore help offset the expenses of these ferrets. For a donation of $50 or more, you can sponsor a specific ferret in our care. 100% of donations will be directed to the ferret you select, and will provide food, medical care, cuddly bedding, and other comforts to him/her.

to a ferret being sponsored.

Sustaining Sponsorship
The Sustaining Sponsorship program allows a person/group of people to help provide for a NFR ferret(s) on a schedule of no less than monthly or bi-monthly donations of $15 or more per donation. The sponsor will provide monetary donations for the sponsored ferret(s)’ needs (food, vet funds, etc.) and/or send a care package to NFR for their sponsored ferret(s).
Gold Sponsor- $40 per month
Silver Sponsor- $30 per month
Bronze Sponsor- $25 per month
What the Sponsor will Receive
*Sustaining sponsors will receive Aunt/Uncle status with their sponsored ferret
*Sustaining Sponsor’s name will appear on their sponsored ferret’s page
*Gold, Silver, and Bronze Sponsors will be featured on the homepage.
