Holidays can be dangerous for ferrets, so keep your ferrets safe throughout the upcoming season.
If you use common sense and keep an
eye on your ferrets, you should have a wonderful and safe Holiday
Season.

- Keep people food and candy out of reach of ferrets.
- Keep ferrets locked up when non-ferret company is visiting.
- If you do allow your ferrets to play with your guests, make sure your guests know the rules: No people food or drink and watch where you step.
- Check gift wrapping and boxes for ferrets before you throw it away.
- Make sure ferrets don't have access to decorations that they could swallow.
- Don't allow ferrets to drink from the Christmas tree stand.
- In case there is an emergency, find out BEFOREHAND (now!) if any emergency vet clinics will be open during the
holidays. Make sure you have the number and directions handy just in case.
